In the first half of this year, cross-border e-commerce exports to overseas warehouses increased by 3.3 times. In China, 140 million people have made global shopping through cross-border e-commerce, and new formats and new models have flourished.

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, the scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce export overseas warehouse business surged 3.3 times in the first half of this year. The bright growth rate is enough to prove that the foreign trade performance mode is not a gradual trial run-in, but a leap-forward rapid upgrade.

In recent years, the volume of overseas warehouse orders has continued to rise, and the major head platforms have accelerated the layout of overseas warehouse outlets and deepened the construction of localized contract fulfillment facilities. Relying on the support of national policies, overseas warehouses have already jumped out of the basic positioning of simple warehousing and gradually upgraded to full-link integrated services covering end-to-end processes, becoming a new type of infrastructure for foreign trade to go to sea. Many overseas warehouses can provide value-added services such as product exhibition, after-sales maintenance, local operation and maintenance, and get through the “last mile” at the end of domestic products going to sea.

China’s complete industrial chain, flexible and efficient supply chain scheduling and mature digital operation strength will not be easily eliminated by tariff barriers and overseas compliance supervision. The core competitiveness of China manufacturing never depends on the channel bonus, but is rooted in the industry itself. Trade control in overseas areas can only adjust the circulation path of goods reaching consumers, and it is difficult to shake the global market’s just need for cost-effective domestic products, and it can’t replace the key seats of domestic enterprises in the global supply chain. The strong resilience of cross-border e-commerce in China has already exceeded the forecast of overseas policy containment.
