As an emerging force in international trade, cross-border e-commerce is changing the pattern of global trade at an unprecedented speed. The cross-border e-commerce transaction volume in China is growing at a double-digit rate every year, and it is expected that this growth rate will be maintained this year and next.

At present, e-commerce has become a new kinetic energy to stimulate foreign trade growth. According to the data of the Ministry of Commerce, the scale of cross-border e-commerce trade in China has increased more than 10 times in the past five years. In the first quarter of this year, the import and export of cross-border e-commerce was 577.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%, and the number of cross-border e-commerce entities in the country exceeded 120,000. Cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly, with great growth potential and strong driving role, and has gradually become an effective force in China’s foreign trade development.
At the same time, cross-border e-commerce breaks the geographical and time constraints of traditional trade by building a global supply chain, logistics network and digital platform, which not only makes it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the international market, but also enables domestic enterprises to push high-quality and cost-effective products and services to the international market.
