The rapid development of cross-border e-commerce in China has been made possible by the introduction of a series of policy measures to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce as well as the continuous promotion of bilateral and multilateral international cooperation, and by China’s continuous promotion of innovations in various aspects, such as technology, channels, policies and services.
Actively promoting innovation in all aspects has given impetus to the development of cross-border e-commerce. First, actively utilizing new technologies. Grasp the opportunity of the rapid development of new-generation artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, 5G and other digital technologies, and promote the continued and in-depth application of new technologies in the cross-border e-commerce supply chain system, logistics and warehousing, payment and marketing, etc., so as to help the cross-border e-commerce industry sail to the sea.
Second, actively explore new channels. With the increased demand for cross-border shopping, China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises have increased the construction of overseas warehouses and logistics networks to reduce logistics costs and shorten the delivery time, and China’s express and logistics enterprises have actively docked with international logistics resources to start overseas express business.
Third, actively explore new experiences. China has built a public information platform of international trade “single window” for the majority of import and export enterprises, providing intensive, one-stop service functions, optimizing customs clearance business processes, improving declaration efficiency, shortening customs clearance time, reducing enterprise costs, and promoting the facilitation of cross-border e-commerce trade.
Fourth, actively develop new business models. In line with market demand to promote the rapid development of software development, financial and tax support, marketing and promotion, after-sales service and legal compliance and other services, incubating a number of professional service enterprises; at the same time, accelerate the construction of multi-functional online integrated service platform, such as Shenzhen cross-border e-commerce online integrated service platform on-line tax registration (tax exemption), policy funding, independent station, statistical monitoring and other functions, to accelerate the service to improve the quality and efficiency.
