Entering this year, the domestic cross-border e-commerce industry has always maintained a high-speed upward development trend, and the vitality of new formats has been continuously released, which has become an indispensable pillar to stabilize the basic foreign trade and promote the upgrading of domestic consumption. According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export transactions of cross-border e-commerce in the first quarter of this year reached 618.46 billion yuan. In terms of split structure, the export scale of cross-border e-commerce reached 473.55 billion yuan, the import and export structure continued to be optimized, and the dividends of new foreign trade formats continued to be prominent.

The outline of the Tenth Five-Year Plan clearly defines the development path, clearly puts forward “supporting the development of new formats and new models such as cross-border e-commerce”, and promotes the reform and innovation of regulatory mechanisms in various fields such as customs clearance facilitation, tax collection and management, and foreign exchange receipts and payments. In this year’s “Government Work Report”, the state once again detailed the deployment, and proposed to continue to expand the linkage development model of cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses, realize expansion and quality improvement, and guide the whole industry to standardized and sustainable development, which also marked that cross-border e-commerce officially bid farewell to the extensive scale expansion stage and entered a new development cycle of improving quality and efficiency.
Cross-border logistics channels extending in all directions continue day and night, digital reform continues to reshape the foreign trade supervision system, and high value-added domestic products are continuously sold to the international market. Standing at the key node of the “Tenth Five-Year Plan”, cross-border e-commerce relies on high-quality transformation to move forward steadily, and continues to write a new chapter of trade in which China’s goods connect with the world and global goods enter China.
